Time for a challenge

I’m creating a challenge on github. I’m explicitly not going to say much about it, because that wouldn’t be any fun. Try your hand, take a crack, who knows, maybe you’ll figure it out?

Notes:

  • I plan to make it less opaque as time goes on
  • Do not read too much in to the git log
  • Surprise!

Open a Pull Request or reach out to me with questions.

I think it will evolve quite a bit as time goes on, but I can’t reveal too much.

Here’s a hint:

The greatest improvements in the productive powers of labour, and the greater part of the skill, dexterity, and judgment, with which it is anywhere directed, or applied, seem to have been the effects of the division of labour.

  1. Durkheim’s problem thus defined, his solution fell quite naturally into three principal parts:

    the determination of the function of the division of labor;
    the determination of the causes on which it depended; and
    the determination of those forms of “illness” which it exhibited.
